All over the city people like you want to stop smoking. The Sheffield NHS Stop Smoking Service offers a range of locally based services to help. Click on the 'Help near You' button on the menu to the left to find out about services in your community.
We offer the following to help smokers quit for good:
- One to one support. Available at over 100 Pharmacies, GP, Dental Practices and other community locations
- A telephone support programme
- Stop Smoking Groups that take place across the city
- For the housebound, one-to-one support at home
- By working with employers, free workplace groups
- Nicotine gum, patches and other products on prescription
- Specialist midwife service for pregnant women and their families in their homes
Giving up smoking will improve your health and save you money. It will also protect the health of your family. No one says it's easy to give up but there's no need to go through it by yourself - expert advisors and nicotine gum and patches are available to help you.

Now that Sheffield has turned smokefree the public will be less likely to suffer heart attacks linked to smoking and second-hand smoking, according to a recent study.
